International
Tour Coach recently (2005) returned from Europe after working with Irish #1
tennis player Peter Clarke.
Extensive experience in elite athlete management both at organisational level through previous roles as State Coach in WA and Nth Germany and more recently tour experience working 1 on 1 with many young Australian Circuit players, most notably Jaymon Crabb WA 2000 - 2003. Jaymon was ranked approx ATP 500 in mid 2000 after a 4 year stint at the AIS, within a period of less than 2 years his ranking soared to a career high ATP 180 and inclusion into the Australian Davis Cup squad. His qualification into the Sydney International and Australian Open main draws where he disposed of some of the world's top players ranked between 50 - 130, his main draw win against Andrew Illie and notable efforts against Juan Carlos Ferrero (a few pts away from winning the match) and David Nalbandian (both top 10 players at the time) capped off an extraordinary 2 years of progress under Jeff's guidance.
During Jeff's highly successful tenure as State Coach of WA many of the states juniors had unprecedented success: Jaymon reached the Semi Final of Junior Wimbledon, James Sekulov also became one of the top juniors in the world 1/4 finals at the French juniors and went on to achieve an ATP ranking in the low 100's, Siobhan Drake-Brockman won the Australian Open Juniors at 15 and reached WTA low 100's also Peter Clarke who was talent ID'd by Jeff in WA at the age of 10 also reached a career high ranking in the low ATP 200's as well as consistent Davis Cup representation for Ireland.
Jeff has a wealth of experience as a team tour coach having taken over a dozen state teams including QLD and WA teams to Australian titles / National Tournaments and was intrusted by TA to take numerous Australian junior teams overseas for tournaments experience or world youth cup, most notably Mark Philippousis and Andrew Illie's European Clay court Tour during their junior careers.
